As a retro gamer and pixel art enthusiast fuse beads are the perfect medium for me!
I rediscovered it when creating decorations for my own wedding and my extended parental leave as well as the pandemic induced lockdown allowed me to spend unreasonable amounts of time on this hobby.
Thanks to the great selection of colors, I was able to create a color palette that I use to translate video game sprites and pixel art into beads.
This palette has gone through a few modifications and expansion over the years as new colors were released and my needs changed but the general concept of keeping colors distinct stayed the same. (And was reinforced by one of my toddlers getting into my workspace and mixing up around 33.000 beads!)
Since I started more than 5 years ago, I have made an uncountable amount of bead sprites and would like to highlight some of my favorite projects! (nearly all my work can be found on Instagram @yeoldepixelshoppe)
